The Sedgehead Store now offers a Carex grayi t-shirt. Additional designs are planned, starting with sedges and expanding to other biota.
This Mike Martling design shows the inflorescence and an achene of Carex grayii on the back of the shirt and at the pocket location (no actual pocket). The back of the shirt has the slogan "So many sedges, so little time" along with the scientific name. Cost? $15. Please specify size and color. Available in white or grey. Sizes? This website is a for profit website, but we do use most of our funds to support our field work in support of the Arkansas Flora Project. That is, we spend more on our field work than we make in income off this site! We appreciate your support, but we do not track our expenses and income so that we cannot assure you the profit from exact dollar you spend will go into our gas tank for fuel for field trips, because we are NOT non-profit! Your dollar may go for groceries and we may spend other money on collecting efforts. Such is life as a for-profit organization.
